Charlotte Harbor is formed by the convergence of two natural rivers, The Peace River & The Myakka River along with the Boca Grand Inlet from the Gulf of Mexico. These bodies of water form the brackish waters of Charlotte Harbor. The Harbor is (approx) 17 miles long by 5 miles wide. The Depth of the harbor ranges from 10-14 feet, with most of the channels depth between 3-6 feet. Tide swings average 2 feet. The winter months bring in lower than normal tides. These lower tides bring fish up river to warmer water.
